Face to Face Enrichment Center is proud to announce that it has received funding from the Louisiana Public Health Institute/TFL to continue Defy for the 2010-2011 grant year.

The organization is currently recruiting youth ages 11-17 to become members of the Defy Team. The team members meet monthly to learn about the dangers of smoking and tobacco use and also participate in community service projects throughout Ascension Parish. Active youth will attend a youth conference, where they will meet Defy participants from other agencies throughout the state of Louisiana. The youth also receive incentives for reaching certain levels of success.  

 

Defy is a Louisiana Youth Movement that seeks to reduce the influence of the tobacco industry and promotes tobacco-free lifestyles. Defy is a youth-driven initiative.
